Founded in 2018, Gradient Dance Theater and Community creates accessible dance education and professional training for Birmingham, Alabama. We believe all bodies can dance and every dancer has a unique voice to bring to the floor — from complete beginners to preprofessional dancers and returning adults. We are happy to welcome dancers ages 14-68 who are looking to invest, explore, and create. The Exploration Lab is a great place to observe, fall, grow, encourage and experiment while connecting with our local dance community. We recommend this workshop for dancers with 4+ years of experience that are at an intermediate or advanced level, and are able to manage their own limitations/injuries/restrictions.

Founded in 2018, Gradient Dance Theater and Community has been Birmingham, Alabama's home for accessible dance education, professional dance training and artistic performance.
